I have a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee - called corporate in 2020 about the dashboard issue and was told to pound sand. Will be calling this month to give it another try. Knowing that the prior year models have been recalled due to the same issue, one would think Jeep would want to get out ahead of this.
However, it is widely known that the Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles with 3.2L and 3.6L diesel engines have problems with the Pentastar oil filter housing. If a recall is issued by the manufacturer or NHTSA, owners of vehicles impacted will be contacted. It is also possible to check for a recall by inputting your VIN into a VIN checker.

Just received a letter yesterday stating that some 2016-2017 Jeep Grand Cherokees with the 3.6L V6 have EGR valves programed to run too long/too high that may cause premature engine failure. Said a reprograming was required and would take about 30 minutes. Anyone else receive this recall?
