I didn't install the Companions update until Expeditions came out.(No use for pets) So, the way TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML acts now started with Companions or Expeditions update. NMS wants to set my Numhigh/low settings to 8/9 on a six core 12 thread system. I set it to 8/4 (and set the file to read only) and the game seems to run better.

So I've tried the manual fixes within the ini. file to help reduce the mouse sensitvity and it worked but on the x axis the y axis is still super loose and I have to play with the slightest mouse movements otherwise my mouse just shoots upward or downward. That been said, I do feel -- Shakespeare pun intended -- something strange in the state of the game. NMS was always my "cozy" game, and I always enjoy the "acid trip" design, alien life and intense colors. But since Fractal upgrade the game is weirdly "heavy". My gameplay experience is not smooth anymore. FPS drop, crashes, stuttering movements.

soopytwist Feb 20, 2021 @ 8:43am. Unexpectedly low fps with a 3090. Got an EVGA 3090 FTW3 here. Running the game at 1440 in HDR with ultra settings and I only barely nudge 50 fps. Even dialling down the settings to High literally makes no difference. I've seen NMS running at 150 fps on Youtube with the same GPU and settings.
