This is what I had to do even after the game was supposedly downloaded and installed. Hit the options button on the game from the PS5 dashboard and go to Manage Game Content. From here it said that all the packs were installed but that apparently was not true. To the right of every pack there should be an install button or a trash can.

Settings campaign progress not being saved on ps5. Since the launch of mw2 I can’t save the settings that i have changed, (color customization, aim response curve, auto mantle….etc) all the settings that got saved were settings I changed when it was campaign early access. I couldn’t find a fix for ps5 but there’s plenty of fixes for pc

If you do not have selective installation options, reinstall your Battle.net App. Do you have to download campaign pack to play multiplayer? Those who have not downloaded Data Pack 1 will see that they do not have access to the Modern Warfare multiplayer, campaign, or spec ops game modes. They will only be able to play the Battle Royale game

Things I've tried that haven't worked; • Setting video output to 1080p (thought that maybe the PlayStation might be encountering errors when downgrading the video output for 1 game.) • Turning off the improved texture download. (thought maybe it was causing the game to stutter.)
Yesterday I installed Warzone 2, today I bought a physical copy of Modern Warfare 2 and installed it. Went to load up the game and it just took me to W2. Tried to find a way to get to the campaign or MW2 multiplayer but can't find anything. Everything's installed on my Xbox but it won't recognise that I own MW2.
